Crazy about Design Packaging Food & Packaging Ink

"It's the exact same old tissue, honey, it does not make a distinction, ok? It's still going to work the exact same way", my exasperated hubby hissed into my ear as I grabbed cartons after containers of some 'designer' tissue. DESIGNER TISSUE! Hah, can you even hear me state that? I can't believe I really wrote 'designer tissue'. Yes, for a graphic designer and writer who knows all about the kind of effort one puts into product packaging and branding items, I sure fell for it. All the hoopla. The shenanigans. The 'draw 'em in with great copy and fab color combo'. Hey, I am still a consumer, keep in mind that. I am entitled to succumb to great product packaging, I have a prevailing right to be human.

They are so quite ... the packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature enthusiast' packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'lady on the go' product packaging, and then they have the 'kids' packaging. I got 4 of each design plans and made a run for the counter with them with my shouting kids and exasperated other half running after me in sluggish motion.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with elegant packaging styles on them. I enjoyed the packaging develops so much, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the designs and put it into my 'should keep for referral' clear folder. I do not keep a lot of stuff in there due to the fact that I am pretty selective about the styles that I like, but these packaging styles made the cut.

You see, this is the kind of thing that occurs when you put some effort into making your product packaging design. Yeah, we all have this in the back of our heads ... "Hey, it's PACKAGING! They're going to THROW the PACKAGING away.

This is what I have to inform you, as a graphic designer and consumer. The more effort you put into designing your product packaging, more customers will take a look and stop at your product packaging or what's inside the packaging. Now, does it make good sense for me to state now that when they take and stop notice of your packaging, your opportunity of getting them to buy your item boosts? Precisely.

You see, the function of product packaging is to get read more the consumer's attention. And without an electrifying product packaging, customers are going to stroll past the loads and stacks of other competitor products ... and yours ... without even knowing you're there! Your product is sitting there on a shelf, for goodness sake, and the only weapon you have is to have a nice product packaging. Once they stop and have a look, you've won the first round.

Think of it!

They have the 'nature fan' packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'female on the go' packaging, and then they have the 'kids' packaging.
